Happy 25th Anniversary of the

1983 US Festival

"This must be the best US Festival site around.

It's concise and on the mark. It brought back a lot of strong memories

and feelings for me, and even taught me a few things I've forgotten.

I do stop extra long to shake hands with and smile at everyone

I encounter who says they attended the US Festivals"

How Far We've Come

We challenge you to live a single day without technologies that were either non-existent or just emerging when the first US Festivals were held.

Here is a sample of technologies that have emerged since the original US Festivals:

Memorial Day 1983

Memorial Day, also called Decoration Day, is a patriotic holiday in the United States.

It is a day to honor Americans who gave their lives for their country.

Originally, Memorial Day honored military personnel who died in the Civil War (1861-1865). The holiday now also honors those who died in any war while serving the United States.

For those who might not remember,  the US Army was an US Festival Sponsor. We want to thank every person who has ever served in America's Armed Forces.  You have made us the Land of the Free and You are the Brave.  Bless you for all you have done for America.
