Within the March 1851 challenge of The Chemist, Frederick Scott Archer printed his moist plate collodion process It turned the most broadly used photographic medium till the gelatin dry plate, introduced within the 1870s, eventually changed it. There are three subsets to the collodion course of; the Ambrotype (a constructive image on glass), the Ferrotype or Tintype (a positive image on metal) and the glass adverse, which was used to make positive prints on albumen or salted paper.
